Associates Operating Agreement – What's Changed

Here are all of the updates we will make to the Amazon Associates Program Operating Agreement and Program Policies effective October 15, 2025

We have:

• Updated our trademark guidelines to specify that Associates cannot use any copyright material from third-party sellers without written authorization.
• Clarified that commission calculations are rounded to the nearest local currency amount (e.g., cents for USD) at the per-transaction level, which may cause effective commission rates to vary slightly from rate card percentages.
• Updated our product exclusion policy to include that Amazon has the authority to determine which products are excluded from the Associates Program.
• Adjusted payment thresholds for gift card payments to include maximum amounts.
• Updated the Operating Agreement and Program Policies for European Union countries to reflect the current legal entity naming of Amazon EU Sarl.
