Integrate RSS Feed for Hot New Releases & Best Sellers on Amazon.co.uk

RSS feeds are a powerful and easy to use integration tool for the Associates program. You can easily integrate RSS feeds including your Associate ID in your website to get the latest information about hot new releases and best sellers on Amazon.co.uk.

When browsing both the 'Best Sellers' and 'Hot New Releases' sections of every Product Category, you can find an RSS feed link at the bottom of the page, as reported below.

Advantages of RSS feeds

  • Easy to use (API are not required)
  • Better experiences to your visitors: All info on Amazon products will be automatically kept up-to-date – manual editing no longer needed

How can I easily get all the available RSS feeds?

In addition to clicking on the RSS feed links on Amazon.co.uk (see above), you can also build all the URLs you need by following this structure:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Type/Category/?tag=my-associate-ID, where
  • Type can be:
    • bestsellers - Our most popular products based on sales. Updated hourly.
    • new-releases - Our best-selling new and future releases. Updated hourly.
    • movers-and-shakers - Our biggest gainers in sales rank over the past 24 hours. Updated hourly.
    • most-wished-for - Our products that are most often added to Wishlists and Registries. Updated daily.
    • most-gifted - Our most popular products ordered as gifts. Updated daily.
  • Category is the name of desired Product Category: automotive, books, baby, pc, dvd, electronics, videogames, kitchen, digital-text, music, garden, shoes, software, toys, sports, watch, etc.
  • my-associate-ID is your Associate ID

For example, the RSS feed link related to Electronics bestsellers, would be: http://www.amazon.co.uk/bestsellers/electronics/?tag=my-associate-ID

By clicking on that link, you can display the bestseller products for the desired Product Category, updated on an hourly basis:

If you need to specify the Product Category at a subcategory level to better adapt to the content of your website, you may include the subcategory within the RSS feed URL. To retrieve the subcategory code you can browse Amazon.co.uk and look for the available subcategories in the left menu bar, as highlighted below for "Phones".

If you look at the address bar of your browser, you will notice the following URL:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Best-Sellers-Electronics-Phones/zgbs/electronics/560820/ref=zg_bs_nav_ce_1_ce

The code at the end of URL identifies the subcategory “Phones”. You can append it to the Product Category value in the RSS feed link, as shown below:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/bestsellers/electronics/560820/?tag=my-associate-ID
